Connor Parker was born into a legacy: His grandfather was the original Spider-Man, his mother was Spider-Girl, and his deceased Uncle Ben (yes, he had one too) was the second Parker Spider-Man (Unless you count Ben Reilly... Wait...). With his uncle's death as Spider-Man, Connor was essentially forbidden to become Spider-Man, which he considers his birthright.

I selected Bon Jovi's 'It's My Life' because Connor wants to own his future. It's his life to live, and he feels he shouldn't have to conform to his family's view on the Spider-Man legacy. It's not just something he wants to do, it's something he feels destined to do.
